Major Russian Assaults Eliminate Power Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while inhabitants in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and faced interruptions to drinking water, according to local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was killed in a distinct assault in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, according to regional authorities.

Russian forces has intensified strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while officials has called for "concrete actions" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the America, the EU and the Group of Seven - in supplying air defence systems and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a online statement.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 missiles attacked the country's power systems, labeling such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were striving to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes struck electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.

Area administrators said the city endured intense attacks overnight. A young boy lost their life and three other people were wounded.

The attacks follow nights of bombing campaigns in the region, portions of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The entire country is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to detect.

National leaders told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already affecting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were preparing for further attacks.
